Following his friends around the skatepark with a camcorder in the ‘90s, Jake Landes Howell got his first taste of visual storytelling and never looked back. Today, Howell lives and works in Brooklyn, NY as a lifestyle, editorial, and street photographer. His photography aims to capture the beautifully raw moments of life that occur organically; stylistically, his aesthetic ranges from warm, nostalgic, naturally lit visuals to experimental distortions of perspective.
Largely inspired by his travels to Africa, Hawaii, Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom, Howell continues his pursuit to better understand life, the human condition, and to find and communicate meaning through film and digital photography. Howell's mission is to use visual storytelling as a tool to promote positive change in the world. This ideal is realized through advocating for artists, individuals, organizations, and brands that strive to make a difference.
